Reverting an Investigation back to Incomplete Status
Once an investigation has been completed, the supervisor (e.g., RTE) should then open the investigation for review and approval prior to implementing the recommendation(s). However, if the supervisor does not decide to approve the investigation for implementation of the recommendations, they should revert the investigation back to "Incomplete" status allowing one or more analysts to revise the investigation to modify countermeasures, alternatives and recommendations as needed.
To mark a "Completed" investigation as "Incomplete", open the investigation, and on the first step (Investigation), click the MARK AS INCOMPLETE button in the lower right corner of the page as shown in the image below.

A confirmation dialog is presented as shown below. To continue and mark the investigation as incomplete, click the INCOMPLETE button (otherwise, click CANCEL).

A message is displayed indicating that the investigation is now flagged as Incomplete, and the MARK AS INCOMPLETE button in the lower right corner is no longer available. The investigation is now unlocked for modifications and when the analyst has finished with their changes, the investigation can be marked as Completed from the Recommendations step once again for review and approval by a supervisor.
