Step 3 - Criteria


Step 3 is an optional step that allows the user to apply additional filters based on one or more criteria (characteristics) of the crash. The image below shows the Criteria form for Step 3:

 

 

Adding Additional Query Criteria

The additional criteria, in the form of textfields, dropdowns,and checkboxes are broken down across four section on an accordion menu, aligned according to the following categories:

Crash Characteristics

Vehicle Characteristics

Person Characteristics

Contributing Factors

Database Search - This includes specific fields that aren't readily accessible elsewhere that allows user to do a specific "lookup" on key fields that often are requested from external users (e.g., License Plate, VIN #, First Name, Last Name, License ID, etc.)

 

The user is under no obligation to provide additional query criteria in these fields; they can be left empty if the user wishes.

 

Once any additional query criteria are specified in the fields on this form, the user can select the 'Execute' button in the bottom-right of the form to run the Query and return results.

 

Saving a Query

Before executing a query, the user may use the 'Save' button at the bottom of the form to save the query for later use.

Select 'Save' to save the changes to an existing Saved Query (if this query as loaded from a Saved Query)

Select 'Save As' to save as a new Saved query for the logged-in user

 

The following dialog is presented:

 

 

Enter the name of the query

Optionally choose to share the query with all users or one or more specific users (the query can be shared after saving as well)

Click the Save button (or Cancel)
