Exporting Data

The Crash Data Viewer (CDV) app provides several options for exporting data.

Export Results

The results of a query can be exported from to three formats:

1.CSV - Comma Separate Values file which includes all fields from the grid

2.Case List - CSV file that includes case numbers only, in a comma-delimited format. May be used in other functions/applications (e.g., ICE) to load a list of Cases for processing/editing.

3.Shapefile - Exports the location of each crash along with the attributes as an Esri shapefile for further processing in an external GIS tool (e.g., ArcGIS Pro)

In all formats mentioned above, the process to export results are the same:

•After running a query, and exploring the results, select the 'Export Results' button () on the lower-right of the 'Query Results' grid.

•From the dialog that appears, select the radio button from the appropriate output format.

•Select the 'Export' button to download the selected file.
