Queries

There are two types of crash queries in CDV:

Basic Queries

Basic Queries provide a simple user interface for quick searches by either:

•Searching for a single crash entering a case number

•Searching for a series of crashes (loading from a case list file)

Advanced Queries

Advanced Queries provide a guided multi-step querying process, allowing the user to define a robust series of parameters combining location and criteria to assist users to discover information about Crashes, Vehicles, and Persons involved.

Unlike Basic Queries, Advanced Queries can also be saved and shared with other users in CDV, more is discussed in the Managing Queries help topic.
