User Placed Candidates

If no candidate provided by the geocoding engine (based on the location data) is found to be acceptable, but the editor knows exactly where the crash should be located, the User Placed Candidate tool can be used to locate the crash manually. This will add a new candidate to the candidates grid that can be accepted. 

To add a user placed candidate:

•Click the “User Placed Candidate Tool” in lower right corner of the map display

•Click the map at the location where the candidate should be located

•A new pin is added to the map at this location and a new candidate is added to the candidate's grid on the left

Note: There can only be one UPC. If the tool is used again, the new location replaces the previous one as the UPC
