Entering As-Built Data
Once work has been completed on maintenance items or capital improvements, "As-Built" data can be entered into CLEAR safety to capture the exact status of the work that was actually performed.
The As-Built tool is presented as a wrench icon on the far right of both the Maintenance Items and Capital Improvements grid as shown in the image below.
•Once a maintenance item or capital improvement has been performed and marked as “Completed”, click the As-Built (wrench) icon for the desired row
•The As-Built Details page is displayed as shown below
•To activate the detail page, a comment must be first be entered and saved. Enter a comment and click the SAVE button (the other tabs are now enabled)
•Click the tab for the site type(s) on which the work was done (e.g., Segments). The page is updated and a grid is displayed with a row for each site that was planned to have work performed.
•Next, click the Edit button on the right side of the grid, the As-Built edit form is displayed for the site as shown below.
•Click the radio button that reflects how the work was performed on the site
•Not Built – Nothing was done
•As Planned – Maintenance work was done exactly as planned/requested
•Addressed with Alternate Improvement – The work requested was not performed, however, an alternate improvement was performed.
•Updated – The planned work was performed but not on the entire site (this allows the user to specify a From and To Milepoint that defines the extent of the maintenance work
•Enter a Comment to describe any notes on the work performed (this is especially important if an alternate improvement was performed)
•Click SAVE when done
