Print
'Print' is used to export a map, with or without a layout, to a download-able file.
Click the 'Print' button to view the Export options.
The Layout tab provides the option to export the map on formatted page while including/excluding several layout options. To export a layout do the following:
•Enter a Title for the layout. This title will appear on the exported map page and will also serve as the file name for the exported map. If a title is not provided, the file name will default to "Untitled" and no title will appear at the top of the exported page. If more than one map is exported without a title, a sequential ID will be added to the file name (e.g., Untitled(1).pdf, untitled(2).pdf, etc.).
•Choose a layout option from the Page setup drop down list. There are several page size and orientation options to choose from.
•Choose an option from the File format drop down list. The list includes PDF and most of the common image file options.
•Click to expand the Advanced Options. Here, choose to define the scale of the map and whether to include Author, Copyright, and/or Legend information. A setting to increase/decrease the DPI is also available.
•Click Export to generate the down-loadable file. The download link for the file will appear below the Export button.
The Map Only tab provides the option to export an unformatted view of the map. It has a limited set of configuration options:
•Enter a File Name for the layout. This will not appear on the exported map as a map title; it is solely used to name the file. If a file name is not provided, it will default to "Untitled". If more than one map is exported without a title, a sequential ID will be added to the file name (e.g., Untitled(1).pdf, untitled(2).pdf, etc.).
•Choose an option from the File format drop down list. The list includes PDF and most of the common image file options.
•Choose a Width and Height for the exported image.
•Click to expand the Advanced Options. Here, choose to define the scale of the map and adjust the DPI as needed.
•Click Export to generate the down-loadable file. The download link for the file will appear below the Export button.
Click any of the links below the Export button to open/download the file locally.
To close the Export dialog, click the Collapse button:
