Adding a Request to the DOT Queue
Selected crashes from the Query Results grid can be added to the “DOT Queue” for subsequent relocation or editing by DOT staff. For example, if a crash is displayed within the query results (and also on the map display) and the user notices an error in either the location or in one or more attributes/fields of the crash, the user can use this function to make a request for the crash to be edited (attributes) or moved to a new location.
•Select the desired crash records from the queue results grid
•Click the Add to DOT Queue grid tool button
•Select the request type (Edit or Relocate)
•Add a comment to provide details on the exact edit or relocation to be performed
**Important Note: If multiple cases are selected when using this function, the editing request must be identical for each case. This may be practical for an Edit request (e.g., change all these cases to a Collision type of Right Angle), however, selecting multiple crashes will not make sense for a relocation request. Relocation requests should typically be added individually with only a single case selected such that specific details can be given in the comments to instruct the administrator exactly how/where to move the crash location.
